A THANKSGIVING MESSAGE

Updated: Nov 24, 2023

Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Family Promise of Waukesha County! Here are five things we are thankful for this year.

1. Housing

This year we are happy that families like Shateria and Zajanelle have been able to secure housing. In 2023 we will serve over 100 families through our shelter and prevention programs. We are thankful that we had the resources to expand the numbers of families we serve and help more families secure housing!

"I feel like I have hope now, have that second chance at life and I'm able to try again." - Zajanelle

2. Family

Watching the kids play games, seeing their smiles, hearing them laugh, and helping them with art projects have given us precious moments. It is a privilege to be allowed into the lives of families at this difficult time. We believe wholeheartedly that housing is essential for family stability and success.

3. Partners and Volunteers

We are grateful to the 26 partners who provided meals and hospitality to the Community Shelter and Winter Overflow. In 2023 we trained over 250 volunteers to support families experiencing homelessness.

4. Staff

Our staff is committed to supporting families during one of the most challenging moments of their lives. They want nothing more than for families to secure housing.

5. YOU!

At our core Family Promise of Waukesha County is a community response to homelessness. Connecting our community to ways to support families experiencing homelessness in our DNA. We are grateful to you and your belief in the future of families experiencing homelessness.
