ACTS OF COMPASSION HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF FAMILIES

Volunteers have always played a huge role in the lives of the families we serve. We cannot thank you enough for your time and commitment to Family Promise of Waukesha County. Our opportunities have recently changed due to the pandemic. Please see below for our current Volunteer needs. Please reach out to Maria, Program Coordinator at maria@familypromisewaukeshawi.org with any questions!

"Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."
-Martin Luther King

We are so excited to bring volunteers back in person to serve families experiencing homelessness!

See below for the potential opportunities we currently have!

All volunteers who have interaction with our families must go through training!

 SORTING DONATIONS
On an as needed basis, we are seeking volunteers to help us organize and sort through donations we receive. This would occur at our Day Center

SHELTER CLEANING
On an as needed basis, we are seeking volunteers to help us clean our apartment shelter and our community shelter after a family moves on from our program. All cleaning supplies are provided.

HABITABILITY STANDARDS
On an as needed basis, we are seeking volunteers to accompany a FPWC staff member to enter a home and complete the assessment. You will be given the checklist and walk alongside our staff. You will check off to make sure the home is meeting the checklist. The staff member will be with you at all times to answer any questions you may have
