Our goal is to prevent families residing in Waukesha County from experiencing homelessness. We do so by providing eligible families rent, mortgage, utility, car repair assistance and security deposits.
With more than 40% of Americans a $400 expense away from financial distress, the threat of crisis looms closely for too many families. Preventing families from spiraling into homelessness is an essential part of the Family Promise mission.
Applications are now being accepted by Family Promise of Waukesha County from families who are seeking rent, mortgage or utility assistance. The purpose of these funds are to assist families with children to be able to remain in their homes and avoid the impact of family homelessness. It is imperative that you read the guidelines below before applying for assistance. If you fit the guidelines please submit the application by clicking 'Apply For Assistance'. Due to a high volume of applications, please allow fourteen days to process your request.
Applicants must live in Waukesha County.
Be the parent or legal guardian of minor children.
Income levels not to exceed 80% of the area median income.
Openness to participating in case management.
Working on a plan for independent housing in the near future.
