Vehicle Repair Assistance

Our goal is to prevent families residing in  Waukesha County from experiencing homelessness. We do so by car repair assistance.

Nuestro objetivo es evitar que las familias que residen en el condado de Waukesha se queden sin hogar. Lo hacemos proporcionando a las familias elegibles asistencia para la reparación de automóviles. 

With more than 40% of Americans a $400 expense away from financial distress, the threat of crisis looms closely for too many families. Preventing families from spiraling into homelessness is an essential part of the Family Promise mission.

1. NEED ASSISTANCE WITH A CAR REPAIR?

  • Family Promise of Waukesha County has funds available to be able to help families, who may be at risk of losing their home, with a vehicle repair 

2. ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

  • Applicants must live in Waukesha County,

  • Be the parent or legal guardian of minor children,

  • Have a valid Driver's License, 

  • Have current car insurance, 

  • Have the vehicle registered in their name,

  • Be stably housed and have their name on a lease

3. HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK? 

  1. Please fill out this form to apply for a car repair

    • Contact forms are processed in the order they are received 

  2. Our intake coordinator will contact you within 3-5 business days post submission to set up a meeting

    • The initial contact will be to set up a phone meeting with you to discuss your current situation  

    • This meeting is set up via email so please check your email regularly after submission
