APARTMENT SHELTER PROGRAM
All four apartment units leased by Family Promise of Waukesha County have been full since May 17, 2022. We are currently providing shelter to 4 families consisting of 13 individuals. The need for shelter is not subsiding as we received an additional 30 calls in May from families needing shelter.
PREVENTION PROGRAM
Another 20 applications for Family Homelessness Prevention Program Assistance were also received last month. As of May 31, we have distributed $53,000 to 36 unique families including 51 adults and 74 children. These 36 families received 47 payments. This means some families have received both rent and utility assistance or perhaps a second rent payment.
The need is great.
