I started with Family Promise as an overnight volunteer at my local church, then became a client driver during the rotational church model.  My membership on the finance committee led me to my current role as part-time business manager.

What I like about Family Promise is that we connect people to resources that help them take steps toward self-sufficiency.

I spent 38 years in retail management with a focus on purchasing and financial reporting.  Besides Family Promise, my retirement season has led me to another non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace which brings community members together to help build and deliver beds for kids who do not have their own.

My free time is filled with long walks, trail hikes, and road biking trips with my wife and adult children.

Role at Family Promise of Waukesha County

I am the business manager for Family Promise. My main responsibility is to relieve our executive director Joe of tasks related to our programs business operations.  This involves payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tracking reporting requirements of grants.
